Housing is needed—but growth must be responsible, transparent and supported by infrastructure.
Before major development proceeds, residents deserve clear answers:
- Where are the road improvements?
- What is the transit plan?
- Will schools, healthcare and emergency services keep pace?
- Who will pay for the required infrastructure?
- How were residents’ concerns reflected in these decisions?
Major planning decisions should never be rushed or appear to favour powerful special interests. Residents must have a meaningful voice, and existing taxpayers must not be left paying for the consequences of poorly coordinated growth.
As Mayor, I will insist on infrastructure-linked development, transparent decision-making and enforceable financial commitments ensuring growth pays for growth.
Caledon needs housing—but it also needs roads, transit, schools, healthcare, parks and essential services.
Build responsibly. Protect taxpayers. Respect residents.
